About the Programme
Today more women than young men graduate but are still either getting stuck or jumping off at middle/senior levels. To address this organisations have tried different initiatives from women only programmes, mentoring and trying to make the work place more flexible but the barriers still remain. The answer isn’t to ‘fix’ women or organisations. The ‘real barrier’ is unconscious bias that comes from both men and women and our present approaches do not address this or worse, result in ‘blame’. This programme takes a different approach that has helped many women in senior roles. Here the focus in on building what is causal to success and in particular the strengths of women focusing on cognitive and emotional capacities and building intrinsic motivation. In doing so, women have the resilience to accept organisations where they are and still succeed. It is only when a tipping point of numbers of women take an equal role in leadership that things will change and unconscious bias will be replaced with a truly balanced organisation.
